Emergency Management is dedicated to empowering our campus community members with the knowledge and skills necessary to effectively respond to and recover from emergencies.

- The UAlert system is the University's emergency alert system.
- UAlert is a free service that delivers emergency messages via text and email to students, employees and designated campus colleagues.
- Family, friends and community members may also register for UAlert.
Emergency Procedures
The University of Arizona draws on the expertise of people and teams across campus to develop guides for preventing, preparing for, and responding to specific emergencies, including:
- Active shooter
- Disruptive or distressed individual
- Hazardous materials/chemical spill
- Medical emergencies
- Severe storm
- Shelter in place order
- Bomb threat/suspicious package
- Fire or explosion
- Utility emergency

Critical Incident Response Team
CIRT implements the Emergency Response Plan when there is an incident on campus that could potentially affect the safety, health, or well-being of our community members.

The purpose of this plan is to establish organizational structure, roles, and procedures for campus emergencies and critical incidents.
Building Emergency Plans
Building Emergency Plans (BEP) are intended to be used in conjunction with the Campus Emergency Response Plan, and to serve as a guide for students, employees, and DCCs.
UAlert Services
UAlert is a service that allows registered users to receive emergency alerts via text message and email during a campus emergency.
